A boy baby doll is stirring up a lot of controversy. The big issue is over something we all have. The doll made by the company You & Me is anatomically correct. Parents in Houston were very vocal on their thoughts about it.
“It's about people making a mountain out of a mole hill. It's just a doll, it's just a doll,” Darren Latimore said.
“I personally would not choose to do that. I think that it's too much too soon for a child,” Katrina Haselman said,
For some parents it’s just a baby doll, but for others it’s flat out unnecessary, The doll like a real baby wets his diaper and in this case there’s even a boy “you know what.”
The toy advertises it’s for a child as young as two.
“Maybe their curiosity. I wouldn't want them to get involved in that too early,” a Southwest Houston barber said. me: get involved with what? him: parts and stuff 13:35>
Even the baby girl dolls that wet themselves aren't anatomically correct. They do that today with just a hole in the doll,” Haselman said, “You don't have to be anatomically correct.”
Of course it could raise some questions about the birds and the bees. But other parents say that’s a stretch.
“If you don't want your child to have it, don't buy it. It's nothing else to it,” one dad argues.
And what seems to be such an innocent toy has many on social media on both sides of the fence.
Myrna De Leon posts: I feel like we are making our children grow up before they need to.
Yvonne Stringer posts: Why not? Nothing different than having a baby brother.
You can buy the doll at Toys R Us for about $27 including tax.
