It was a day in the park for about 40 prisoners - handcuffed to each other, a fence and even a children's slide.  Authorities have been holding some crime suspects in a public park in western Bogota's La Granja neighborhood because they say there is no more room at a local detention center.

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A Connecticut father proudly helped deliver his own baby...into a toilet.

The baby's father, David Davis, says he was forced to deliver the newborn in the bathroom of his West Haven home after his wife, Lillie, went into labor.

He says the baby slipped through his hands during the delivery, and landed in the toilet.

"She had one last strong push, I had my hand on her back the baby shot out and I couldn't grab it fast enough," Davis says.

He says she began crying and it was the best sound he'd ever heard.

Davis says the couple had gone to a hospital earlier in that morning, but had been sent home after it was determined his wife was not ready to give birth.

She began feeling strong labor pains a few hours later. Livia weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces - soaking wet.

"He's a great husband and as you can tell he's a great father. Not every man can do that," Lillie Davis says.

It's only been a few days but David says he's already thinking of jokes to tell his friends and family on how baby Livia came into the world.

Law enforcement officials from coast to coast say street gangs are shying away from wearing their colors and are covering up or even altering their tattoos to avoid detection by police.  Hartford, Connecticut, Police Sgt. Johnmichael O'Hare says gone are the days when the Bloods wore red from head to toe. All you'll see now, he says, is maybe a red handkerchief sticking out of a back pocket.
