What 10-year-old wouldn't love a birthday party with a Limousine ride.
While the party was great, the mom said the limo was far from spectacular.
" I wasn't happy at all." Kimberly Denley said. It began when Aim Limo Services didn't deliver the limo she ordered. Although it was a free upgrade, it had a lot of problems.
"The interior was dirty and had an odor...The seat on the passenger side was falling off, it was nailed with a board," she explained.
Denley also claims the air conditioner wasn't working and the driver was smoking.
"And he was smoking."
The worst she says was when the party went inside the Embassy Suites. She had given her older daughter and friend permission to wait outside in the limo, thinking the limo would just stay put. But it didn't.
" When I walked out and saw the car was gone I called his phone. He didn't answer. So I called my daughter. And my daughter said he took the limo to the gas station," she explained.
Eddie Mustafa, manager at AIM Limo, agreed that his driver didn't use good judgment saying,
"It was an oversight on his part."
Mustafa said his driver explained he had no idea the girls were in the limo when he drove to get gas. The driver immediately returned to the hotel. No harm done.
Denley says she's learned a few lessons for the next time.
“Now I would go myself and look at the limo prior to reserving it," she said.
And she said she would call the limo company immediately if there was a problem and not wait until the work week.
Those at AIM Limo said they want to please their customers. They have apologized and are refunding half of Denley's payment.
