In all seven of the robberies, Mieluchowski was armed with a handgun and demanded cash from multiple tellers. As the robberies continued, Mieluchowski became even more violent, often threatening bank customers.

The robbery trend ended in 2011, but detectives continued to work strongly to identify the suspect. After receiving a tip in late 2013, detectives were able to identify Mieluchowski and on June 18, they obtained a warrant of his arrest.

Mieluchowski was charged with sixteen counts of robbery first degree, two counts of attempted robbery first degree, one count of kidnapping second degree, eighteen counts of aggravated menacing and seven counts of wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony.
