4 hospitalized after Gainesville chemical leak

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Four people were hospitalized after an ammonia leak at Koch Foods on Monday.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. at the Gainesville plant. According to the Gainesville Fire Chief, everyone was evacuated.

Fourteen people complained of burning eyes, headaches and breathing problems. Four of the 14 were transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for observation.

Workers have been cleared to reenter the building.
