Dad faces criminal charges for quinceanera practice brawl

Posted: Updated:

Quinceaneras are supposed to be the most unforgettable night for every 15 year old girl, but for one teenager wearing that beautiful dress on her special day, never happened. And now her dad, Aaron Aranza, is facing criminal charges for something , which took place weeks before the big event.

“Aaron has always loved his daughter. He put her before anything,” says Virginia Aranza, mother of accused suspect.

Virginia, mother of the accused suspect, says the situation got blown out of proportion back on April 11th in this drive way, when the 14 year old was practicing her grand entrance dance for the big day. Probable cause documents state Aranza came out upset when he found out the escort his daughter had chosen was an African American boy. But the family is giving us a different version.

“Wanted her not to hurt the other young man who had been practicing with her for two and a half months already. We didn’t know the other young man,” adds the grandmother.

Public documents then go on to mention the father says “are you serious? You really want this (and says the n word) to be your chambelane, also known as an escort.

“Half of our family is African nieces and nephews, some are Caucasian, some are African American, some are Hispanic,” states a sad grandmother.

Aranza was arrested weeks later when details emerged stating he had assaulted his daughter with a belt several times the same day of the rehearsal practice, and even attempted to start a fight with the daughter’s black friend.

“They say in the court documents that he beat her with a belt and dragged her, is that not true?

“No he picked her up to bring her in the house,” explains this distraught mother.

During our visit with Aranza’s mom, she held back tears saddened that such a blissful preparation for an important day had ended in a feud between father and daughter.
