Survey: 1 In 8 Give Out Numbers While Grocery Shopping

Posted: Updated:

Forget the singles bar! If you're looking for love, you better make sure you look your best at the grocery store.

Researchers say one in eight singles have given out their phone number while shopping.

Do you think grocery shopping is the right time to find your soul mate?

Well, some single people surveyed say the supermarket is a good place to find a match because they can easily tell if they have something in common, FOX 29's Jenn Frederick reports.

For instance, nearly 63 percent say they would be more attracted to someone if the other person had similar shopping or eating habits.

Other singles say what's in a person's shopping basket is a good indicator of their personality.

And others believe that the market offers a wide diversity of people to meet.

Meanwhile, researchers say in the supermarket you are more likely to engage naturally then you would in a club.
