HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
The Houston Texans reached a contract agreement with fullback Jay Prosch, the team's third pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft from Auburn, according to his agent Bill Johnson.
Prosch, who was taken with the 211th-overall pick, played guard and linebacker at UMS-Wright Preparatory school in Mobile, Ala.
With no SEC offers, Prosch went to Illinois where he began his college career at fullback.
After a coaching change Illinois went to a wide-open spread offense prompting Prosch to transfer to Auburn.
While focusing on fullback, Prosch believes he can also be used at tight end, giving him the kind of versatility the Texans like in their players.
