Is the paparazzi visor the next fashion hit?

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The so-called paparazzi visor is suddenly a trend for celebrities of if you just don't want to be seen.

V. Stiviano, the former mistress of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was photographed wearing the robot-like face shield last week in Beverly Hills.

The paparazzi visor is now a fashion must-have. Sales are up for Tribeca designer

Gingie McLeod. She says the item didn't really sell that well until she saw V. Stiviano wearing the visor, so she renamed it the paparazzi visor. Since Thursday, Gingie says she sold over 500 visors on her website SAINTCHiC.com. Her version of the hip headgear retails for $35 and comes in a variety of colors.

Wendy Williams ordered her visor Monday. But celebrities and ex mistresses aren't the only ones trying to be storm trooper chic this season.

Gingie says the trend definitely is only going to get bigger, so who knows, you could see someone wearing the paparazzi visor on the beach this summer.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
