SOPCHOPPY, Fla. (AP) - Gwen Graham in Florida and Michelle Nunn in Georgia are trying to repeat their political successes of their well-known fathers.

Graham is campaigning for a U.S. House seat in a conservative part of Florida. Her dad, Bob Graham, served as both governor and senator.

Nunn is running for the U.S. Senate. Her dad, Sam Nunn, left the Senate almost 18 years ago.

Both fathers were old-school Southern Democrats. Their daughters are holding up their dads as examples of what kind of elected officials they'd be.

They hope that will help win over conservative white Southerners who voted for their fathers but have since abandoned the Democratic Party.
