Police look for Phoenix shooting suspect

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a man near 16th Street and Roosevelt on Sunday night.

Phoenix police say they arrived on the scene and found 27-year-old Juan Ortiz Canales laying on the ground after with at least one gunshot wound.

At this point, it's still unclear how many times he was shot or where.

Police say officers moved him about a block from the scene as they searched the area for the shooter and tried to revive him.

Unfortunately, he died at the scene.

Officers are still searching for the suspect.

He is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 35.
