ATLANTA, Ga. -
Authorities are searching for two bandits that robbed a Buckhead jewelry store, overnight.
The robbery happened just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Elif Fine jewelry store on West Paces Ferry Place in NW Atlanta.
Authorities say the bandits smashed right through the front window and stole about $5000 worth of silver pieces. According to store representatives, the "pricey" pieces were locked in a safe off-site during the robbery.
According to officials, this is the second time the store has been robbed in the past 6 months. And store owners are concerned that the robbery will discourage people from shopping at the store or at nearby stores.
During the robbery in November, bandits held the owner at gunpoint while they used a hammer to break display cases and take jewelry.
The suspects police are searching for are both black males, one about 6' tall and the other around 5'7" tall. The taller suspect was wearing a white overall with gloves and the shorter suspect wore a dark jacket and blue jeans.
Police say the suspects got away in a light colored four door vehicle. Both suspects were wearing masks.
