DEA targeting steroid manufacturing

The Drug Enforcement Administration and valley police targeted a steroid manufacturing ring Thursday.

Agents began investigating the ring in January of 2013. The Tactical Diversion Squad identified Blaine Radke of Surprise and several other suspects who sued the internet to sell anabolic steroids.

On Thursaday, Federal agents served search warrants on two homes, a gym, and a storage unit.

Authorities say the men were making and selling anabolic steroids inside of their homes.

Blane Radtke, one of the men is facing charges of importing, manufacturing, and distributing anabolic steroids.

Using his "underground" e-mail address, Radke gave instructions to potential customers to send cash to pay for their steroid orders, concealed in magazines and birthday cards to Post Office boxes controlled by organizational members.

Those indicted were Blaine Jared Radke aka: Ronnie Coleman, 39 of Surprise, AZ (head of the organization); Ismael Gonzalez aka: Mike Gonzalez, 44 of Surprise, AZ; Joshua Ryan Leno, 33of Omaha, NE;  Duane Lee McGill, 52 of Charlotte, MI;  Gregory Alexander Chambers (45) of Franklin, TN; Chad Vincent Desjarlais, 41 of Melbourne, FL;  Kanisha Nichelle Stewart, 24 of Surprise, AZ and Dena Jo Olsen, 43 of Surprise, AZ.
