Kingwood robbery call uncovers a wad of cash, drugs and guns

KINGWOOD, Texas -

10 pounds of marijuana, tens of thousands of dollars in cash and guns are just part of what police responding to a robbery call found Thursday morning in Kingwood.

Around 1 a.m. on Thursday, police received a call about a robbery in progress at the Villas of Kingwood apartment complex at 300 Forest Court Drive.

According to statements given to police, two groups of people got into an argument.  One person, a tenant of the apartment complex ended up being shot in the leg.

When police started investigating they found the roommate of the shooting victim sitting in a car. 

That car was filled with at least 10 pounds of marijuana, a big wad of cash, guns and powered cocaine.

That person was arrested and taken into custody.

The shooting victim was transported to Ben Taub hospital and is expected to recover.

The search for the unknown gunman continues.
