Fire crews rescue Coweta Co. man from 30 ft. well

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. -

A group of Coweta County fire crews are being hailed heroes after rescuing a man from a well on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened on the 400 block of Doc Perry Road around 11:30 a.m.

According to reports, firefighters arrived on the scene and located a man at the bottom of a 30 foot well. When police located him, the man was conscious and able to respond to firefighters.

Crews set up a "tripod" and used ropes and a pulley to lower a rescuer into the well and rescued the victim.

The victim was transported to Atlanta Medical and has since been discharged. He is at home recovering.
