Fight between customers and workers at a Houston restaurant goes viral

Posted: Updated:

It's a video that's gone viral.

A fight between employees and three customers at Chacho's restaurant on Westheimer, shows how things got out of hand, when a disagreement went from words to a literal fist fight.

"Anyone who sees this video is disgusted," says Peyman Momeni, lawyer of the customers   It happened on Thursday, April the 3rd. And this video provided by the customer's lawyer shows a different angle of that discussion, which according to him started because of a refund, when the women, seen here, were told they could not take their alcoholic drinks to go.

Community activist, Quannel X said today, "When you have a manager that already has an attitude, he don't like the people he is dealing with, speaking to them without respect.  Using the b word to address them. That escalated the problem."

In the video, the lawyer showed us how one employee headlocks a young lady and then another employee throws a customer on the floor.

Sunday, community activists were ready to protest outside the restaurant, but minutes before starting they came to a resolution with the owner that a third party be brought in to conduct a full investigation..

However they also questioned, why no one has been arrested.   Not one man went to jail for pounding, pumching and pulling hair and wrestling a woman to the ground," adds Quannel X   The video has had one million hits on the Internet, which includes very vocal comments.

The family of the three woman are now seeking legal guidance, because they don't want this crime to be left unpunished.   "We are looking for justice," adds the customer's lawyer.    Today customers of Chacho's restaurant were surprised not only to hear of the brawl, but to see that men were actually going up against women…   "Oh that's a no. That should never happen" says one customer.

The video has now been handed over to the women's attorney and will be used as part of this investigation.
