Child cancer patients are taking a break from their treatments to take part in a painting party. Their paintings are being featured on The Round Top Collection's metal yard art.
"They're creating artwork inspired by the beautiful flowers here at Cornelius Nursery. It's a great break from the hospital," said Shannan Murray, executive director of The Children's Art Project.
The kids are part of The Children's Art Project, a program at MD Anderson that makes life better for kids with cancer. Patients create art, and then that art is put on different products to sell.
"I'm looking for the love that comes out in their artwork. I'm looking for the colors and what will grab someone's heart when they look at a piece of metal," said Jeff Krause, President of The Round Top Collection.
The metal pieces are for sale at Cornelius Nursery. You can find more products from The Children's Art Project at area grocery stores, the Uptown Park boutique or on their web site.
