Investigators searching for man impersonating a Liberty County Deputy

LIBERTY, Texas -

The Liberty County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who impersonated a deputy on April Fool's Day.

He entered a home in the Snake River Subdivision around 7:40 in the evening. He's had on a tan uniform shirt with correct patches, black pants, a gun belt and pistol.

He did not have a badge. He's described as a white male in his late twenties/early thirties, 5'7" tall with an average build and clean shaven. He didn't have a badge.

The shirt had a tag with the name. "J.J. Edwards" on it. The Deputies have switched over to an all dark uniform when out on patrol and only wear tan shirts in court.
