Suspected burglar surprised by quick response of Houston Police

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

One person is in custody after he apparently gained access through a broken window into a Dollar General store in Northwest Houston around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Houston Police Department received an alarm call from the business in the 66-hundred block of Antoine and West Little York.

HPD responded quickly to the scene.  When they arrived a man was coming back out of the broken window with a backpack full of stuff.

The man was taken into custody on suspicion of burglary.   The back pack was stuffed with items taken from the store including cologne, toothpaste and several other items.
