Danieal Manning released, not upset with the Texans

Posted: Updated:

The Houston Texans released safety Danieal Manning after the two sides could not reach an agreement on the pay cut the team requested.

Manning was scheduled to make $4.5 million in base salary in 2014.

"I'm dealing with it great," Manning said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports.

"Both parties agreed to disagree. It's nothing personal. I'm really not upset at all."

Manning was willing to take a pay cut, but he had his limits.

"To be honest I'm actually kind of happy," Manning said. "We all came to an agreement.

"There's no bad blood."

Manning left the Texans with a message for their fans.

"I would like to thank them for all of their support," Manning said. These fans embraced me. They made me feel at home every time"

"Those guys will be missed. I wish I could bring them with me where ever I go."
