Sebastian Stan plays villain in latest 'Captain America'

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The past is haunting Captain America. The all-around good guy is questioning things he used to believe in in the 1940s.  Enter a past threat, the Winter Soldier played by Sebastian Stan, and life in 2014 might be too much to conquer.

Stan's character is an assassin  "who is a weapon trained to kill."

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opened internationally over the weekend and raked in $75M at the box office.

The movie, the latest in the Captain America series, opens Friday, April 4 across the country.

Stan, who was born in Romania and came to the United States at the age of 12 and settled in Rockland County, says he probably won't be watching the movie at a theater.

"You’re always going to feel like a little kid about the situation. It’s very exciting but I’m probably going to be home," said Stan.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier also stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson.
