Posted: Updated:
DAWSONVILLE, Ga. -

Criminals have been targeting churches in Dawson County. They have been breaking into sanctuaries, stealing electrical equipment and leaving the churches in ruins.

Dawson County Sheriff's Capt. Tony Wooten told FOX 5 News that they are increasing patrols around churches as a result, but they still want to catch who might be behind the burglaries that have been happening over the past few months.

Anyone with further information should contact law enforcement in the area at 706-344-3636.
