Tiger Cub Taken Out Of The Petting Zoo

Posted: Updated:

The chance to get up close and personal with a tiger cub is creating uproar in Branson, Missouri.

At Promised Land Zoo in Missouri visitors are allowed to pet the baby animals, including a baby tiger.

A baby tiger cub, Bruce Lee, has received lot of attention from the visitors but he's out of the spotlight for now.

Judy McGree, with National Tiger Sanctuary, says believes the this interaction is too dangerous and not fair to tigers.

Judge McGree explains, "if you would like to get your child socialized to living with people that doesn't mean you would take your 8-week-old child and pass it around to people."

But Jeff Sanders, with Branson's Promised Land Zoo, says his animals are top priority and has only the best of intentions in mind.

Sanders says , "most of our animals are hand raised and tame and socialized so people can come up and enjoy them."

For now this is as close people are going to get to pet a tiger at Paradise Kingdom until things get sorted out.
