MnDOT plow driver digs victim free by hand after rollover crash

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (KMSP) -

Sometimes, being in the right place at the right time can be what changes an ordinary person into a hero -- and that's definitely true of the Minnesota plow driver who stopped to help after he saw a car flip over in front of him.

Minnesota Department of Transportation plows have been hard at work this winter, treating and clearing roads across the state -- but Jeff Holte went above and beyond the call of duty when he saw a rollover crash unfold in front of his eyes near Alexandria, Minn. Now, he's being called a hero.

Watch the video to see how he saved a man from a snow-packed car.

"It was really awesome. I would have been stuck in there for who knows how long if he hadn't come and saved me," Tony Pelowski, who was trapped in the car, told Fox 9 News.
