Los Angeles, CA -

(FOX 11 / CNS) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is on a diplomatic and economic visit to the United States, will fly to Los Angeles today and attend the premiere of an Israel tourism film.

Netanyahu is featured in the film "Israel: The Royal Tour,'' which is hosted by CBS News travel editor Peter Greenberg. The premiere will be held at Paramount Studios, hosted by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.

Netanyahu will attend the premiere and speak at a VIP reception. Also expected to attend are his wife, Sara; David Siegel, the Israeli consul general in Los Angeles; Greenberg; Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles President Jay Sanderson; and Mel Rogers, president and CEO of PBS Southern California.

The Israeli leader is expected to remain in Los Angeles tonight, then head to Northern California Wednesday to meet with the heads of such companies as Apple, LinkedIn and Ebay. In the Silicon Valley, Netanyahu is expected to urge American  business leaders to invest in Israel's high tech industry, according to the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

He is also expected to meet with Gov. Jerry Brown while in Northern California, and the pair will sign an agreement to promote economic ties between California and Israel.

Netanyahu is expected to return to Los Angeles Wednesday night and attend a gala reception, possibly in the Santa Monica/Malibu area. His L.A. visit is intended in part to enable him to meet with Jewish leaders, according to the embassy.

The prime minister arrived in the United States Sunday and met Monday with Secretary of State John Kerry Monday and then with President Barack Obama. Netanyahu and the president discussed the search for an Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement and efforts to curb Iran's nuclear program, the embassy reported.
