Rep. Lewis hosting forum on women, family needs

Posted: Updated:

ATLANTA (AP) - Democratic congressman John Lewis is among the lawmakers scheduled to host a forum this week centered on the needs of women in the workplace.

Lewis, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and State Minority Leader Stacey Abrams are scheduled to host a forum Thursday titled "When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families."

The forum is expected to highlight women's fight for equal pay, the need for adequate work life balance and access to quality child care.

The forum is being held in the auditorium of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers building in southwest Atlanta.
