Child Dies After Fire In Olney

Officials were at the scene of a fire where a child had been taken to the hospital.

The fire happened just before 5p.m. SkyFOX was over the 4800 block of North 9th Street where the flames were put under control in about 30 minutes.

Officials say the 9-year-old boy was transported to Einstein Hospital for serious injuries where he was later pronounced dead.

The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania are helping two families affected by the fire.

Red Cross volunteers will meet with these two families and provide financial and emotional assistance as needed.

There is no word on the caused the fire. This is a developing story. We will have more information as it becomes available.
