Clerk shot and killed at Troy gas station

TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police are looking for a shooter after a clerk is gunned down at a gas station in Troy. Customers knew something was wrong and called 9-1-1.

Troy police searched the Clark gas station at Rochester and South Blvd. from top to bottom Saturday. Hours earlier, they received a call to check on the clerk. Drivers who filled up went inside and saw no one behind the counter. 

"When officers arrived, they found the employee laying on the floor behind the counter with a gunshot wound to the head," said Capt. Bob Redmond.

Investigators say several shots were fired. The victim is a 64-year-old man from Rochester. Right now, there are no witnesses and police are looking for help from the public. The murder took place between 10:30am and 1pm Saturday.
