Super Bowl brings jobs

NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

With Super Bowl Sunday around the corner, temporary service jobs are becoming a hot commodity so businesses can make as much cash as possible off the biggest game in America.

Frank Choudhary owns RP limos in Clifton, N.J. He's looking for extra drivers for stretch limos, SUVs and party buses.

New York and New Jersey Commerce officials expect a significant economic impact from the Super Bowl. Some say estimates are at $600 million.

But that money won't come in unless there's extra workers to take in the quarter million people expected to show up for the busy week and weekend.

Enter Triple Play Staffing a firm asked to help recruit hundreds of workers for Met Life stadium and elsewhere..

The NFL says at least 1,500 temporary jobs have also been filled to help support the 48th Super Bowl.

Spokesperson Brian McCarthy says they expect to use the workers to staff events like Super Bowl Boulevard taking over Times Square and Media Day at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Workers will make between 12 and 20 dollars an hour.
