YouTube Space: Be Your Own Star

Posted: Updated:
Los Angeles, CA -

YouTube has really re-created how a person becomes famous.

In the past, you needed to be in movies or TV to be a star, but not today. YouTube has changed all that.

I interviewed popular you tube star Meghan Rosette on her You Tube success:  "I think anybody who wants to make YouTube videos so should...honestly it was the best decision I ever made not even realizing it would affect my life the way it did."

And in a big way...just 3 years ago Meghan Rosette started making videos for YouTube offering up tips on beauty and fashion.

"I always have an ongoing note pad of like tons of videos I want to film because you always want to be like the first one like that kinda of video because you don't want to put out content that somebody else is already doing."

Meghan's segments on getting the perfect smokey eye - or what you absolutely need to own for winter were so popular on YouTube...Seventeen Magazine asked her to join their team.

"We're doing the Daily Show, which is a little daily show that is aired on Seventeen Channel...we get to incorporate our outfit of the day which I love...so what's the tip , what do you tell the girls? What is really hot and cool to wear...I think honesty whatever your comp in ...I totally dressed right...so you approve."

And all of the filming takes place at YouTube Space LA.

Liam Collins who is the head of YouTube Space LA says their motto is to bring together the most creative people in the world.

As great and glamour's it is to be a you tube star – Meghan says there's a lot of work behind the scenes. "It means your filming, editing, producing directing your own videos."

To use the space at YouTube, you'll have to apply to be one of their YouTube partners and meet certain requirements.
