Super Shopping Saturday

Posted: Updated:
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. -

Oh there's no place like the mall for the holidays! At the King of Prussia mall sales are soaring on this super Saturday.

Today is the second biggest sales day of the season after Black Friday. Sales are up to 75 percent off in some stores to attract the shoppers on the final weekend leading up to Christmas.

Makeda freeman strategically picked this day to shop.

Makeda Freeman: "Cause it's almost the same sales you get on Black Friday just about. "

Its Colletta Roberts' first day of holiday shopping this season.  Not only does Colletta need a map to navigate the mall, but she is also checking her kids' list and checking it twice.

Colletta Roberts: "Hair bands, justice, family movie night, Build A Bear…"

With bigger crowds Santa was working harder and so were the gift wrappers, who say super Saturday is really for the men.

Mall employee: "A lot of gifts for us to wrap especially right now for all the men with football on tomorrow."

This year the mall staff tells us many people waited until the final weekend to get gifts.

Kathy smith: "The fact that we had three days of snow in eight days of time has caused shoppers to shop later than usual this season. "

Chanel Anderson didn't mind the late season shopping. Her six bags of goodies only cost  two hundred dollars.

Chanel Anderson : "it was definitely worth the wait."

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
