Study Shows That Paying Kids To Eat Veggies Increases Consumption

Posted: Updated:

How far would you go to get your kids to eat their fruits and vegetables? Would you pay them to do it?

A new study finds that offering money will increase a child's consumption during school lunch by 80%.

Currently, schools are required to include more healthy options for kids, but that doesn't mean the children are actually eating their fruits and veggies. In fact, researchers found that 3.8 million dollars' worth of food ends up in the trash each *day!!

A new study found that offering rewards like raffle tickets or even a nickel dramatically increased fruit and veggie consumption at school.
