Former Port of Houston employee charged in misapplication scheme

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
A man who worked in a senior-level position for more than two years with the Port of Houston is charged in multiple felony cases related to theft from the agency.
Magnolia resident Robert Carl Prohl, 44, faces a charge of misapplication of fiduciary property and two other felony offenses. Prohl served as the senior director of information technology for the Port of Houston.
Between Aug. 30, 2010 and Jan. 24, 2013, Prohl misapplied more than $200,000 in cash, according to a probable cause statement issued against him.
Bail for Prohl has been established at $1 million.
