When it's cold, dark and rainy, it's easy to be in a hurry to get home. Last Friday night, a 24 year old woman who works at the Baybrook mall ended her shift, walked to her car, and came face to face with a stranger.
According to investigators, that man forced the woman into his car, then drove away and sexually assaulted her.
He eventually drove her back to the mall and dropped her off at a nearby business.
A mall spokesperson would not allow us onto the property, but we did spot a security guard on patrol in the parking lot.
The spokesperson also sent us a statement about safety, a partnership with police and a reminder that customers should report suspicious activity.
In the meantime, Houston police continue to investigate, hoping surveillance cameras captured more than just happy holiday shoppers.
