Women turn to lasers to battle bra bulge

Posted: Updated:
NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Many women struggle with unwanted fat around their bra area. It's sometimes called "bra bulge."

A laser procedure claims to melt the fat away.

Carmen Figueroa is getting the procedure.

"When I go to put on my bra, you can see a bit of the bulging area," Figueroa says. "And when I go to put on some blouses, you'll see some bulging. And it's really annoying. It bothers me."

It's a procedure some call laser liposuction.

"We're using local anesthesia," Dr. Mitchell Chasin says. "Patients are fully awake. It's a comfortable treatment and in one treatment we're able to remove all the fat in the area and it's gone forever."

Dr. Chasin makes small incisions in the back and then targets the area with a laser.

"The key to laser liposuction is using specific wavelengths of light that are targeting the fat cells and basically they're melting the fat cells on contact."

Laser Liposuction usually costs between $2,000 and $4,000 depending on the areas being treated.

Dr. Chasin says that women with localized far are generally a candidate but if the skin is too loose, they may not be a candidate.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman." That whopper nearly cost Bill Clinton his presidency. But most of our lies history ignores. And for that, reason humans everywhere will probably go right on telling them. Americans fib hundreds of millions of times every day, at an estimated 1.67 lies per person, according to a Michigan State study. But to fabricate a lie, our minds and bodies must work harder than they would to tell a truth they already know.
