Braves release details of stadium development

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -

The Atlanta Braves released details and drawings of a $400 million mixed-use development planned to open around a new proposed stadium in Cobb County.

The new entertainment district would be located around the new stadium on Cobb Parkway north of I- 285. The stadium is planned to be ready in time for the 2017 season. It would feature retail shops, restaurants, residential areas, hotel and office space, according to renderings released by the Braves on Wednesday.

The development would be funded privately by the Braves and its partners, team officials said. It is designed to provide a  year-round experience.
