WILLACOOCHEE, Ga. (AP) - U.S. Marshals said a fugitive on New York's Most Wanted Fugitives list has been arrested in south Georgia.

Frances Parks is being held in the Atkinson County jail and is awaiting extradition to New York, said Stewart Cottingham of the U.S. Marshals' Savannah field office. Cottingham said Parks was put on parole in 2002 after she was arrested for her involvement in a robbery, rape and murder in 1975.

Authorities said she and four others broke into an apartment and three male accomplices raped a female victim and all five suspects killed the male victim.

Cottingham said marshals in the New York area contacted the Southeast Regional Task Force and said the woman was likely living in Willacoochee, Ga., which is about 140 miles southwest of Savannah.
