If you think Joseph Taylor is making a spectacle of himself he would say, good.
That's because he wants everyone driving by to know about Dominic's Paint and Body Shop in League City.
"I hope I can let other people know what a charlatan and incompetent operator this guy is and save them from leaving their cars here for months and still having problems," Taylor said.
Taylor says Dominic had his daughter's car for 9 months to fix a knock in the engine.
"And he made the car worse and worse each time we picked it up. It's still not fixed and we have to take it somewhere to get it fixed," Taylor said.
Taylor says this is Dominic.
But when we tried to talk to him Dominic, whose real name is Francois, denied being Dominic.
"You can talk to the president of the company and find out who it is," he told us.
According to his own attorney the president of the company is this guy's wife.
"He says that the vehicle is fine, when it left the shop it was running fine," said attorney Lori Laird.
Laird says the repairs took months because it was paid for through an extended warranty.
Dominic, Laird said doesn't appreciate Taylor's one man protest.
"He's very unhappy," Laird said. "He has a good reputation in the community."
So how can you avoid being so frustrated with a mechanic you take to the streets.
"We see about 15 thousand complaints a year on car repair shops," said Leah Napoliello, with the Better Business Bureau.
The B.B.B.'s best advice?
Research and find a good mechanic before you ever need one.
"It's always a good idea to get a couple of different estimates from different car repair shops," Napoliello said. "Don't just pick the first one you find."
And don't sign any repair order work that's not completely filled out.
As for Taylor he even put his phone number on his huge sign.
He says he's more than happy to share with anyone all the details of his dealings with Dominic.
"And show them the pictures and video of this guy's conversation when he got upset trying to talk to me one day and tried to run me off, get off my property," Taylor recalled.
The Better Business Bureau has no complaints against Dominic's Paint and Body Shop.
