Astros, Rangers to play exhibition games in San Antonio

Major League Baseball sources told FOX 26 Sports the Houston Astros will play the Texas Rangers in two exhibition games in San Antonio at the end of Spring Training in March.

The two-game series is hosted by Ryan-Sanders Baseball at the Alamodome.

The event is called HEB Big League Weekend.

The Rangers played the San Diego Padres last March in the first two baseball games ever played at the Alamodome, and drew a combined attendance of 75,240.

Ryan-Sanders Baseball will make the official announcement Friday in San Antonio.

Astros president Reid Ryan, general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager Bo Porter will be in San Antonio to take part in the news conference.
