Cruise ship to serve as hotel for Super Bowl

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The Norwegian Getaway cruise ship, currently under construction, will serve as a hotel during the Super Bowl next year in the New York area.

The ship will become the "Bud Light Hotel" from Thursday- Monday during Super Bowl week.

"I love it. It's a cruise ship. Who doesn't love a cruise ship?" said one traveler on Manhattan's West Side.

Miami and San Diego have also converted cruise ships as hotels for past Super Bowl events.

Super Bowl 48 takes place Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.  The game airs on Fox 5.

Archeologists say they've solved a mystery that started with the rebuilding at ground zero. During the excavation at the World Trade Center Site, workers uncovered part of an old ship. No one knew where it came from. Now after years of study, researchers believe the sloop dates back to 1773, built from wood harvested from Pennsylvania, the same kind used to build Independence Hall.

But C trains were also the cleanest in the transit system.Straphangers said the worst subway trains were the IRT's No. 2.
