Deer crashes through restaurant window on LI

Posted: Updated:

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (AP) - Police are blaming a 4-legged suspect of causing about $3,000 worth of damage at a Long Island restaurant.

They say a surveillance camera caught a deer crashing through the front window of the Harbor Crab restaurant in Patchogue early Thursday morning.

Manager Kathleen Donish reportedly said that benches were torn up and there was some blood on the windows.

A cleaning crew found the deer when they arrived in the morning.

The deer was not hurt and was set free after being captured.
