STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -

More than 200 parents attended a meeting in Henry County on Monday to express discontent over the prospect that one of their elementary schools may close.

Some parents said that they were kept in the dark over the possible closure of Smith-Barnes Elementary in Stockbridge.  They allege that Henry County School Board officials were making consolidation plans without the involvement of parents of the kids who will be affected.

The Henry County Board of Education promised Monday's "listen session," but there didn't appear to be any plans to stop the closure as a result of what was said at the meeting.
