Single ladies have some good news according to a popular magazine. Houston was rated the #3 city in the nation to meet single men in an article in Cosmopolitan Magazine's November issue.
"There's definitely nightlife here. The times that I have been out, I enjoyed it, so I would definitely say it is easy to meet people," said Brad Forrester, a Houstonian.
But it isn't always easy for some.
"There's a lot of stuff to do here in Houston. There's a lot of sports stuff and dog parks and stuff. I think just in general it is hard to meet people," said Erin Webb, a Houston resident.
Mary Jo Rapini is a relationship therapist and says it's all the things to do around Houston that makes so attractive. It also helps that the city's growing in population with the expanding oil industry, but she says Houston is low on the list for meeting guys for a long-term relationship.
Some are turning to their smart phone like Houstonian Olivia Fisher.
"I just recently joined the Tinder app for finding single people around, and it's not really working out," said Fisher.
According to the article, Los Angles was listed as the number one spot and San Diego, California took home number two. The worst city to meet single men according to the article was New York City.
