Japanese auto parts supplier to build Ga. plant

CARROLLLTON, Ga. (AP) - Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has announced that a Japanese automotive supplier is planning to build a facility in western Georgia and create 200 jobs.

Deal said Thursday that Yachiyo of America Inc. plans to build a 130,000-square foot facility in Carrollton - about 45 miles west of downtown Atlanta. Deal says the Saitama, Japan-based company plans to invest $30 million in its facility and is looking to fill the new positions within the next three years.

Yachiyo of America manufactures plastic fuel tanks and sunroofs. State officials say the company employs about 6,800 people worldwide and has five manufacturing plants in North America.
