Matt Schaub Villain or Victim

Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

The way Matt Schaub has been playing there are plenty of fans who'd like to have a word with him face to face. Did some try to do just that? At an afternoon news conference Schaub denied it was true.

"There really wasn't an incident. Nobody came to our house. There wasn't an incident. It's no secret where we live." Said Schaub.

But he does admit to calling NFL security and later HPD tweeted out that they were investigating reports of two trespassers at the Shaub house. When the story broke Tuesday night almost instantly it went nationwide. News reports from around the country varied wildly.. much to the amusement of local sport talk show hosts... especially this headline from USAToday.

"Matt Schaub's home not stormed by angry fans police say.. Stormed? Stormed? what is this Braveheart now?" laughed Rich Lord.

But here's the thing.. true or not.. A lot of people believed it COULD be true.. and the twitterverse exploded with support for Schaub and condemnation of Houston fans. Jared tweeted "Fans went to Matt Schaub's house and "told him off" Seriously? These people are losers not Matt.... Susan Schmaeling chimed it.. "Leave Matt Schaub alone. He wants to win people." Candace Bennatt wrote.. "I'm embarrassed at those fans who harassed Matt Shaub at his home. Shame on you! Adults being bullies. The hashtag #supportshaub sprang up. Lord who has been pretty hard on Schaub admits public opinion may be changing.

"In part. I think there's a lot of people who feel sorry for anyone who has people coming to their home and tell them they're not doing their job well. It's a unique dynamic obviously.

At the Little Bitty Burger Barn.. Owner Ricardo Luna is more than just a little bitty fed up with Shaub bashing.. So He's wearing a Schaub shirt and offering anyone who 's first name is Matt a free burger on Saturday. Just to show a little support.

"He's doing his best. He's working with what he has."

The question came up, “Do pickup lines actually work?” To answer this, I went down to The Ginger Man in the Rice Village in Houston, Texas, and asked people what they thought.

Obesity is an epidemic all over the world. It underlies illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Food addicts differ from people who overeat during holidays or special events. They differ because they have a relationship with food that is unhealthy.
