One death confirmed in ultralight aircraft accident

TEXAS CITY, Texas -
The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed that one person has died following an ultralight aircraft accident in the Santa Fe area.
The Galveston County Sheriff's Office and Santa Fe police were alerted to the crash at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The crash was reported on Avenue C near 33rd Street, according to a statement released by the office of Galveston County Sheriff Office Henry Trochesset.
Deputies and officers found the body of the pilot at the site of the accident. They are trying to determine what caused the crash.
The Galveston County Medical Examiner's office identified the pilot as Roger Brown, 67, a Santa Fe resident.
No other injuries were reported.
