Texans tight end Owen Daniels may be out awhile

Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

In the wake of Texans head coach Gary Kubiak saying during his weekly news conference on Monday that tight end Owen Daniels had an issue with his fibula, sources told FOX 26 Sports the Texans are concerned he may have to miss several games.

Daniels, who appeared to suffer the injury on Sunday midway through the fourth quarter in the loss to the 49ers, had 2 MRIs on Monday.

If Daniels is set to miss significant time, the Texans could place him on injured reserve with the designation to return.

Garrett Graham, who is tied for the team lead in touchdown catches with Daniels with three, would replace him in the starting lineup.
