Gunshots fired in bank robbery

SPRING, Texas (FOX 26) -

No injuries were reported following an early morning bank robbery in the Spring area on Friday.

The robbery incident took place before 7 a.m. Friday at the Wells Fargo bank branch on Louetta Road near Kuykendahl Road in northwest Harris County.

One man who was carrying a pistol had entered the bank and demanded cash from one of the staff members. He fired several gunshots while he was inside the bank, according to a statement released by the FBI.

The robber was able to drive away from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The FBI describes the robber as a black man who stands at a height of between 5-feet 4-inches and 5-feet 5-inches tall and wore dark-colored clothing that hid his face and head.
