ATLANTA -

A woman who was paralyzed after a stranger dropped her on her head is asking for help.

Consuela Pippins life changed in an instant at Wet Willie's in Buckhead on August 3. A man who has not been identified picked up her and dropped her on the dance floor .

"When I turned around to see who he was and to get him off of me, he picked me up and next thing you know, I was on the ground," Pippins said.

The mother of four young children has spent the last six weeks at Atlanta's Shepherd Center getting her life back together.

The road back has been excruciating and scary, but Consuela is maintaining a positive attitude.

"I can't say I've lost anything," she said.  "I don't use those terminologies, but what I can say is at this time…I can shrug my shoulders. I can sneeze. I have tears. At one point in time I didn't have that."

Pippins' church, family and friends have been holding fundraisers to help once she returns home on October 2, but they're well short of their goal.

"We need a quick makeover, so if you're out there and God touches your heart to help this woman of God who has four children -- they need your help and we need your help to help them," said Eli Smith, a minister and radio host.

They've set up a medical trust fund at Bank of America and are hoping contractors will come forward to help make her modest home wheelchair accessible.
