Houston Police are searching for a pair of robbers that held up a Subway sandwich shop Tuesday night just after 9 p.m. in Southeast Houston and shot and killed a customer in the process.
The two Subway employees who were inside the store on Martin Luther King and South Loop said two armed gunmen entered the store and demanded money. They say there was some sort of confrontation with the one customer who was in the store. During that confrontation the customer was shot and killed. The employees said the customer was a regular at the store. He would ride his bike there almost daily for lunch or dinner.
HPD investigators say the robbers got away we are told with less than $100 dollars. Investigators are trying to determine if there is any connection in this robbery to similar ones that have been happening for the past few days in Northwest Houston.
